From now on Unionshifter is known as Tuari!

Why the name change?
Because "Unionshifter" was just adding two existing words to each other, creating a dull and maybe appropriate name for a druid, but I'm one for RP names. So now I'm called Tuari.

What does Tuari mean?
It originates from the Native American Laguna language and it means Young Eagle.

Can we still call you Uni?
Yes, you must :P

As some may have noticed, yesterday EPGP sort of ... failed :)
Luckily, i crashed and found out that my files hadnt been "updated" to these incorrect values, meaning i have a snapshot of more recent values.
Detk examined these and apparantly, the values are correct, or mostly correct.
Both of us have saved a backup / snapshot of this file, so we're safe on the values, we just need to find a way to reset the values to that snapshot :)

If you want to take a look yourself:

World of Warcraft folder => WTF folder => Account => => SavedVariables => EPGP

This is an LUA script file though and requires at least a reader, something like http://luaforge.net/frs/?group_id=377 if you use windows. (sorry for non windows users, but i think you can get this at the homepage)

Saved changes probably won't matter, but i advise strongly against editing it, if we find out you did, well... :P *equips punting boots*

Everyone has some of those bad moments, real life crits, as we like to call them or RLC's.
Some people have those all the time and others have it now and again.

Now i don't mind being one of the people having them now and again, but having my lappy crash almost every single evening, with several memory related errors, is getting a bit harsh, especially since i need it for about 75% of my courses >_>

So i got to this school, which is about 5 min's walking from my convo.
But my prev school where i bought my lappy, that one's 30 min's walking... and usually don't have time to get there after a day of school.
Since the one i'm at now only has a service for software-related problems... while the other one only fixes hardware related problems.
You may see a strong decline in this moonchicken's raiding.

Been a while since I posted one of these.

I don't know how many of you played back in Vanilla, but I distinctly remember the few times I played as a healer. In those days, warrior tanks were the must and I remember one or two times having a party wipe and feeling entirely to blame. I expected the same in WOTLK.

It seems there is a new trend, however, which allows me to get away free from any more guilt or blame. Ask the tank if he is defence cap! It doesn't matter if I stroll up to ToC Hc in blues gemmed with stam! Just challenge the tank's defence cap and all the blame effortlessly slides to them. Is your tank wearing Tier 9? Still challenge their defence cap! There is no limit to your amazing 'get out of jail free' card.

I'm posting this because it is becoming an annoying frequency to have my defence and gear challenged when PuGing content. I know my class and its abilities, I know the different stats a tank should stride to aim for to be able to do certain content. If you want to start challenging my gear I am sure I can find fault with yours. Case in point: Hail was tanking on her alliance (Boo! Hiss!) deathknight and they wiped in ToC Hc on champions. Hail's tank gera on this character has been slowly improving and by now she has reached 'uncrittable', be it with some use of resilience. Two druids in the party were feral DPS. Between them, they managed a staggering 1409 dps. Not each, the two of them put out 1409 dps in total. Hail was almost double their dps as her tank and the hunter there was pulling about 2.5k. The party disbands after three wipes and the first thing to happen in the druid to whispher Hail, are you defence cap?

People in glass gear shouldn't throw stones.

Lately i've not been online much on any of my regularly played characters, because i'm leveling a shammy to help a friend level (if that makes sense) and i'm quite enjoying lvling him as resto, going faster than i had expected.
Now, Sword and Urm already know which character i'm talking about, but to generally save myself from an overload of chat, i'm not mentioning which characters these are, as i meant to free-lance on this one.
What i do want to say is i'm not dead :P just somewhere in between a comatose condition and undead.
People which need me (haha, as if ^^) can always ask Urm or Sword if they need anything done from me.

Now why is this character not in Malice ? i said before, i meant to free-lance for a bit on this char, and anonymously blending in is fun for a change.
Why did i decide to help her level her character this way ?
She is a friend after all and she's not confident at all about playing her char, what can give you a better morale boost than a personal healer ?

So I made a choice and decided to embark on levelling Jewelcrafting. The irony of abandoning engineering as the patch notes finally decided to start looking good for the profession was not lost on me: I was just too busy drooling at gems to care. A +10 stats gem? +51 stamina? I swear the jewelcrafting angel is raining kisses on blizzard HQ at the moment.

I did not match Felsteel or Stanley in speed of levelling Jcing. I decided that instead of preparing all the mats, I would run head first at the trainer and learn anything and everything that might give me a level. Fast forward a few hours and Gohrok sat at a lowly 180. I went and found a guide for levelling it but it seemed to be wrong in several places. Make green skill rating items to go up 10 levels? Do you think I have that kind of bag space and paitence?

An interesting thing to note was how the profession seemed to stall and then suddenly rush through 30 points and then linger again. Levelling through the Outland was worse for me than the end game Azeroth gems, but only just. Northrend was like a dream come true.

Hopefully I will finish off and be 450 soon. Currently Gohrok is 430/450 and starting on his jewelcrafting dailies. I would like to thank Urmomma, Stanleyknife and everyone who advised me or was generous enough to fling a few gems my way. Hopefully the favour will be repayed with yet another player giving a steady supply of crafted gems to the guild bank.

TOAD, or Task Oriented Addon Director, is an addon manager that builds on top of ACP (Addon Control Panel) to provide easy, prompted, switching between task based addon sets by detecting where you are and what you are doing. This allows you to reduce the number of addons you have loaded at any one time, which decreases memory consumption and improves performance. It also has the capability to disable all but a minimal set of addons when you log out or disconnect to really reduce the amount of time it takes to get back in to the game world.

After you log in and while you are playing, the TOAD will try and detect what you are doing and suggest an addon set to be loaded. Currently supported addon tasks include PvE tasks such as questing, instancing (ie. 5-man dungeons), raiding, professional tasks such as crafting and gathering, PvP tasks in the game world, battlegrounds and arenas and there is also support provided to deal with bank alts and auction house mules.

At logout (or disconnect) time, TOAD will disable all but your configured set of minimal addons so that when you login to the game world, load times are drastically reduced. Ever DC in the middle of a boss encounter and have trouble getting back in? TOAD will give you the best chance to return to the battle ASAP! Additionally, define an Emergency Combat set and should TOAD detect that you have reentered the game world in combat, TOAD will make it quick and easy to get back on your feet and get back to the battle! Simple right click anywhere on the game world and the addon set will be loaded - and then you can sort out all those somewhat less essential addons straight after you've looted. ^^

TOAD requires you to set up addon sets in ACP, but uses the addon sets in an additive fashion. For example, you could set up an ACP addon set containing all the addons you always use for PvE and further sets containing additional addons that you only use during questing (QuestHelper for example? :)) or raiding (hello BigWigs and oRA2). Now if you find a brand new addon you want to use everywhere, just add it to one of the base sets and it will be available for all the related tasks (eg. Raiding -> PvE -> PvX -> Base -> Minimum -> System, while Battleground -> PvP -> PvX -> Base -> Minimum -> System).

TOAD is integrated with LDB in order to display the currently selected task and allow quick access to the task switching panel and has full command line support making it simple to write macros to perform task changes yourself.

been playing wow since the days u could do a 10man raid to scholo,prior to that played numerous RPG'S. my favourite being baldur's gate.
my time in wow began with my first toon calledmightymo a dwarf warrior allie side.. which still exists to this day..stuck at lvl 62 for all eternity i guess.to cut a long story short my son deadliving introduced me to the darkside and drui was born.my first horde guild was called praised..moving onto wolfclan and after awhile leaving there to become abit of a pvp addict.

it was whilst loitering around the BG'S.. i met iirc two guys from the guild the edge,think they were called terragaia and barraccus who suggested i join their guild so i promptly did so.some of those guys in the edge are within malice now. u know who u r ofc .

the edge went on to merge with aedis mortiferi.. then went that went tits up .. a few broke away and malice was formed.. apart from a brief time being a blacksheep when we merged with them i remain 'faithful' to the cause.

Well, I decided on the name Maser and Slavue. Maser is the lock and Slavue is his healing pally.

I purchased Keyclone a while ago so decided to use that to clone my keyboard onto the second wow screen.

They key with multi-boxing is to try decide which toon will be the main controlling one, for me I picked the lock, odd I hear you say, why not pick the melee one?, well the lock will actually be the tank when I get Mr Voidy and the tank should always be the control toon.

Here's a list of addons i've been trying and how I rate them 1=very good, 5=bad.

Addons

Jamba - 1 - Very good, it has a strobing follow function, turn it on and then you dont have to worry about the other guy stopping follow, if he gets stuck and too far away you get rw type messages. It has many functions but the ones i use are... Follow, Quest clone, auto Sell grays.

TourGuide - 1 - A fellow multi-boxer did some special multi-box leveling files that only direct you to do kill quest, no collection quests which are a big pain.

QuestGuru - 2 - I've ready you need this one to use TourGuide properly

TomTom - 2 - Again the TourGuide needs it, it puts quest helper type guides on the screen.

LightHeaded - 5 - Not needed for boxing, but i think it will be usful 60+ as it links directly to wowhead for item details.

Macro's

These are still in progress, but basically I have put macros on the button bar for each toon that in theroy complement each other.

I have 1 macro for grouping, i use the Jamba group for this, you pre-set members and then :-

/jamba-group invite

each member with Jamba installed will auto accept, the group leader will be set and loot will be set to whatever you have configured, in my case FFA.

I also enable the Jamba auto follow :-

/jamba-follow strobeonme all

The above is only done on the main toon.

I have mapped the /jamba-follow on the main toon to a /focus maser on the slave toon. As I will always be putting him on follow and always want maser to be the focus (for other macro usage) i've just used the same button.

My attack macro's still need work but button number 1 on each is :-

/petattack
/attack

Slave
/target focustarget
/attack

Then button number 2 is

Main - Shaddow Bolt --- Need to replace this with a castsequence to include more so i can just hammer on one button ;)

Slave -
/attack
/castsequence reset=target Seal of Righteousness, Judgement of Light

I've tried some different macros for healing, the basic one is

/target focus
/cast Holy Light

but i'm playing with...

i've not actually tried it yet in game, and if the UnitHealth returns a figure instead of a percentage i will have to use UnitMaxHealth and word out the percentage but basically it will check the 3 people in my group and heal any under 60% health (one at a time for each click).

Or thats the theroy anyway, i'll be trying it in game today at some point.

Sooo, while i was getting keyclone and some macros setup and tested i hit lvl 5 without even trying, while I was trying to get round an issue with Slavue targeting dead people I hit lvl 10, currently they are both level 14 and my played time is 3 hours, i know not that good, but about 2 hours of that is me writing macro's and setting up addons :)

I will take some screen shots next time i'm in so i can show you all the way i've got the screen setup, i actually run both screens at 800x600 in window mode so i can see them both at the same time.

Anyway, its going fine and i'm enjoying it.... just need to work on the combat and healing macros a bit.

Many moons ago my son had been given a game voucher which which he got TBC. and ofc being the loving caring father i am(lol) I had to try it. A 36 alli Hunter was my toon until he got annoyed cus I was always playing so I had my own account. My first toon was again a hunter Petermc who now sorry to say languishes somewhere in DragonBlight wainting to be rekindled.

My little mage Urm was also an accidental birth again by my son who got it into his head that he wated an all troll guild, hmm, so she was in Valley of trials spamming her fire balls for ages till she got a boost in lvls and never looked back.

Atm I must admit I do have 1 of each class in my account as i believe to fully understand the game you have to understand what all the other classes are capable of. I really enjoy playing Wow but even though I put my heart into all my toons I seem never to get them just right, I dont know what it is, but no doubt time is a great learner and will teach me the ways of the non noob.

As for being in Malice, that may just be better than Chocolate cake, maybe not that good, but since I started in Malice I can honestly say that you are a great bunch and I feel privlidged to be associated with you all and wear the Guild name with pride.

I love the harmony that runs through the guild even when times are bad, we seem to pick ourseleves off clean the blood from our gear and cheer when we loot, I truley believe that there will never come a day when me and Malice part company, but tbh I did try once and as you guess I didnt manage to escape :)

I hope that in time to come I will become as good as a tooner as I have seen of some around the WOW worlds. And I know with the help , support and the mocking that comes along with hanging with you all I will get to where I want to be.

As for me I am always happy to aid, assist any one in a variety of ways and hope I will be able to do so more in the future. it goes without saying that there are somethings within our happy bunch of brethren that I dont agree with, but I place my trust In the officers (apart from Dinac who loves winding me up) to lead us with thier foresight and general sense of fair play into more challenging places and more happy memories.

Ok enough with the creeping

Swordai is GOD and should replace Thrall as Horde leader :))
