Cataclysm
- 10 man normal Bastion of Twilight 4 of 4
- 10 man normal Throne of the four Winds 2 of 2
- 10 man normal Blackwing Descent 6 of 6
- 10 man normal Firelands 6 of 7
WotLK (clearances)
- 10 man: RS, ICC, TotC, Ulduar, Malygos, Naxx, OS+3d
- 25 man: TotC, Naxx, OS+1d
Our primary focus in Malice is on 10-man content. With the new lockout system coming in we foresee opportunities for occasional 25-man runs, but we are not focussing on that part of the game at this time. The new lockout system has us all excited for the possibilities of doing dual 10-man runs too. It's all good!
Raid times
- Wednesday, 20:30-23:30
- Thursday, 20:30-23:30
- Monday, 20:30-23:30
All raid times are specified in game time. Most of our players are UK (one hour behind game time) or western Europe (game time) based and "mature" enough that they can raid until 00:30 on raid nights. We do consider applicants who are unable to commit to raiding until 00:30 game time, and you are encouraged to mention any such restrictions when you apply.
Though our raid schedule is fixed on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, we also run other events on other nights.
Achievement nights and contest (fun) nights are also part of the Malice schedule. These provide those who want to focus on these parts of the game the opportunity to get groups to pursue some of the more elusive achievements they desire, and also serve to further the guild achievements and levelling as introduced in Cataclysm.
A full events schedule can be found on the Malice website.

The gory details
Malice was founded in the middle of November 2006 and has grown into a stable, sociable, long-term home full of friends.
Our emphasis is on player quality not quantity and we follow a policy of recruiting new members on a trial period to ensure that both the guild as a whole and the new member see benefits! You are welcome to bring your alts to the guild, but it should be your main that applies and becomes a member of Malice - no alt-only applicants here please!
During our first few weeks, we regularly raided ZG (cleared), AQ20 (Moam/Buru) with forays into MC and Ony. Within TBC, we frequently cleared Karazhan, cleared ZA and, with our raid alliance partners, cleared Gruul, Magtheridon and progressed well into SSC and TK (prior to the nerf).
In Northrend, our adventures continued unabaited, with victories over the denizens of the Obsidian Sanctum, Malygos and full clears of Naxxramas, Ulduar and Trial of the Crusader. Our journey through the frozen wastes culminated in the defeat of the Lich King himself, in Icecrown Citadel. Or at least the defeat of Arthas Menethil - we wait to see for how long the soul of Bolvar Fordragon can survive intact, attempting to maintain control of the Scourge...
At the launch of Cataclysm we will each be concentrating on levelling a single main character to 85 before facing the new raiding challenges presented to us and, of course, having a whole lot of fun on the way!
Malice is a PvE raiding guild. While we do not insist on a particular amount of raid attendance, we do ask that you commit to the primary aim of the guild of taking on as much raiding content as possible, as well as helping all our members to achieve the things they need. To this end, our rank structure reflects raid attendance and, to achieve full member privileges, we ask that you try to attend a raid each week.
While not raiding, we run heroic instances, gaining currency to gear up and rep farm, as well as help each other with achievements, quest chains, levelling and loot and material farming.
We expect you to have a mature outlook on life and the game. You should want to work hard for the guild, and to be polite to your fellow guild members and other players in general. We only want people who are looking for a long term home. Most of all, though, we want you to have fun!
We are a cosmopolitan guild with a large number of European players, however the guild chat and all raids are conducted in English. Therefore, we do expect some competence in the language. If you have been able to read and understand both this post and our guild rules then we assume you should be ok.
At a minimum, we expect you to be able to install and run the latest versions of voice chat software and raiding addons. Depending on your class/role you may be expected to install other addons. If you don't know how to install an addon, we can provide assistance - you really DO need addons! Snoozer, our Guild Orientation councillor does a fantastic job with getting new recruits up to speed with our requirements.
At level cap we expect you to be able to raid with us from the usual start time of between 2030 and 2100. Some nights raids can run until about 0100 game time, but we are flexible on end time and can usually find replacements if this is way too late for you. Raids are usually 3.5 to 4 hours long though sometimes particular enthusiastic raids may go on a little longer to achieve a particular goal. The vast majority of our raids are from 20:30 to 00:30 and if these times are likely to be a problem please say so on your application.
We make no demands on your equipment, spec or resistances as it's fairly easy for us to help you with these if necessary. We just want decent people with a love of the game, that are willing to learn with us, and enjoy the challenge of working together to achieve our goals.
Thank you for reading, and we look forward to hearing from you.
