Malice employs a point system which rewards effort.
• EPGP •
EPGP (Effort Points, Gear Points) is a system designed to reward effort of raiders and record the benefits that they receive.
EP (Effort Points) can be provided for raid attendance on time, time in raid, boss kills, and other events such as availability.
GP (Gear Points) is calculated from the item level, grade, and the equipping slot of each item looted.
PR (Point Ratio) is the relationship between EP and GP. So if a member has 10 times as many EP as GP they will have a PR of 10.
A taxation occurs each week after the raid resets in order to prevent raiders with extended absences from maintaining an unfair advantage over more recent raiders.

• Malice EPGP •
New members start at 0 EP and 1 GP.
The base EP required for standard loot priority is set at 600 - this base would be exceeded during your third full raid. Prior to reaching this cap you will have "low priority" on loot. However, if you are not at the base EP cap but all players with a higher priority pass, your PR (and the PR of any others who are not at the base EP cap) will then be taken into account for loot distribution.
The decay rate is set at 10% per week, calculated prior to each Wednesday raid.
• EP Accrual •
EPGP is accrued under the name of your main character, but is linked to the player. EP will be gained and GP spent by all of a player's characters.
Main characters generally have priority over alts, except in raids where an alt has been requested to attend a raid in the interest of group balance. Alts retain higher priority for loot than those below the base EP cap.
In summary: standard priority > alt priority > low priority.
EP is distributed at 60/hour per raid member (in 15 minute intervals).
A 60 EP ontime/preparedness bonus is awarded 10 mins prior to raid start for each raid member ready and prepared to begin raid.
A 60 EP signed/available bonus is awarded after raid end for each online guild member who signed, but was not selected, and remained available for raid for the majority of the time the raid was taking place.
• Tier Gear •
Tiered class gear follows a slight modification in the scheme. It is awarded to the current raid member with the highest EP, as a reward to commitment to raiding in Malice. This is not affected by any looting they have previously done, but will still accrue GP.
Tier gear is awarded before any other looting is conducted.
• EP Penalties •
All penalties are at the discretion of the raid leader, and therefore the following should be taken as a guide:
Lack of preparation for a boss fight: -60 EP
Signed and selected but not online for raid without warning: -300 EP
Leaving a raid before raid end without notification: -300 EP
