The following should apply to all guild runs. Runs that include non-guild members must have loot rules negotiated at the start of the run. It is recommended that you attempt to keep groups within the guild where possible.
It is also expected that groups be flexible to individual requests.
• All Groups •
There should be no looting during combat.
There should be no looting when a member of the group is dead or AFK.
Members can roll Need only when they will use the item dropped.
Need rolls for loot must only be for the character that is in the instance, rolls cannnot be made for non-attending characters.
All Bind on Equip (BoE) items can be Greed rolled by all members of the group.
All Bind on Pickup (BoP) items should be passed by all members of the group who do not Need. One nomiated group member will roll greed for BoP items and disenchant them (the resulting dusts and shards are then treated as loot).
If there is no enchanter in the group, then BoP items are treated in the same way that BoE items are, i.e. all members of the group can Greed roll.
• 5 Man Instances •
It is recommended that Master Looter (ML) is used. This gives more time to decide whether items are needed or not, and allows the group to move more fluidly through the instance.
At a minimum ML should be used for boss encounters.
A ML should be determined at the start of the instance run.
If ML is used throughout an instance run, then it is recommened that loot is distributed at the end of the run. This allows the run to progress more smoothly.
Groups of this size should feel free to modify these rules, when all are in agreement.
• 10/20/25/40 Man Instances •
ML will be used throughout.
In guild nominated runs the EPGP system will be used to facilitate the fair distribution of loot.
Items deemed needed by the guild, for the purposes of future raids, will be kept for storage in the guild bank until needed. This will usually be materials for enchants, gear, and potions - but is not limited as such. All other items will be distributed as normal.
• Problems Arising •
If problems arise during the looting process, in the first instance you should attempt to resolve the problem privately with the person concerned. If that does not lead to satisfaction you should speak to the raid leader and if necessary a third party guild officer.
In anything above a 5 man instance it is seldom useful to have long discussions about problems in /raid chat. It is expected that all group members take the raid leader's decision as final on all matters. If that is not a satisfactory outcome then the issue should be discussed with guild officers, or on this forum, before the next raid.
It is important that we can accept situations we do not necessarily like for the sake of the current guild raid. Issues can then be resolved before the next raid.
